PosLaju, PROTON Edar join forces to drive the momentum for growth and accessibility of products and services
PROTON Edar is officially appointed as a PosLaju Authorised Agent in a launch ceremony held recently. This marks a significant milestone for Pos Malaysia and PROTON who are member companies of DRB-HICOM – and is in line with the Group’s aspiration for intra-group synergies that will contribute towards the benefit and convenience of its mutual customers. Through this collaboration, PosLaju services will be offered at selected PROTON Edar outlets that will provide more convenience and accessibility for customers to send their courier items via PosLaju.
As a PosLaju Authorised Agent, PROTON Edar will become PosLaju’s partner in providing selected services such as Next Day Delivery for documents and parcels, PosLaju International – Express Mail Services (EMS) at its outlets.
The synergistic collaboration between PosLaju and PROTON Edar was launched by its guest of honour, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Khamil Jamil, the Group Managing Director of DRB-HICOM, who is also the Executive Chairman of the PROTON Group and Chairman of Pos Malaysia. Pos Malaysia Berhad was represented by Tuan Haji Nor Azizan Tarja, Chief Operating Officer of Supply Chain Solutions and PROTON Edar Sdn. Bhd. was represented by Encik Hisham Othman, its Chief Executive Officer. The event was witnessed by the management representatives from DRB-HICOM Berhad, Pos Malaysia Berhad and PROTON Holdings Berhad as well as media representatives.
For a start, four (4) PROTON Edar outlets in Klang Valley will start offering selected PosLaju services starting from today followed by nine (9) more outlets in Peninsular Malaysia by 5 July 2013 as well as two (2) outlets in East Malaysia by the third week of July, 2013.
The growth of e-commerce has increased the demands for courier and parcel service and PosLaju understands the importance of providing more accessible channels for customers to acquire their services and one of the strategies include the introduction of PosLaju Authorised Agent business model.
PosLaju Authorised Agent business model was introduced on 3 December 2012 and provides opportunities for new and existing companies as well as entrepreneurs to generate additional income and grow their business together with PosLaju. To date, more than 100 PosLaju Authorised Agents has been appointed which enables customers to get access to PosLaju’s services at IKOBANA (41 outlets), Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) (36 outlets), MPH Bookstore (4 outlets) and individual agents (26 outlets).
