First 2010 title for Kitchen Darters |
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s Kitchen Darters swept the board at the Blue River 2010 Trio Darts Challenge in Johor over the weekend. The Kitchen got off to a good start winning the 701 threesome to take a l-0 lead. However, the determined Johor pair of Srithara Kupusamy and Jack Mani beat Clairines and Lim 2-1 to tie the score at 2-2. The decider game was also stretched to three legs but it was Yusri who emerged victorious in the nail-biting match and claimed the title for the Sabah team. In the semi-final, the Kitchen Darters had no problem overcoming the trio of S. Selbarajoo, Tengku Hadzali Shah and Keshmender Singh. They won the 701 threesome and the combination of Clairines and Lim made short work of Selbarajoo and Keshmender 2-0. Yusri did not have to be at the oche for the last singles match against Tengku Hadzali as the Kitchen Darters had already won. Fulker took home RM1,700 and trophies for their effort while the losing semi-finalists each received RM600.
