KOTA KINABALU: Imago Shopping Mall’s Hope Express Train charity campaign here has collected a total of RM55,600 within the first half of 2018 and the proceeds meanwhile go to the Sabah Cheshire Home near Jalan Tuaran.

Dr Raymond Yu, executive director of Imago said the campaign which began in 2016 raised a total of RM200,000 in its first two years of business which had gone to Taman Didikan Kanak Kanak Kurang Upaya and Seri Mengasih Centre.

“The next NGO to receive our donations will be the World Wildlife Fund (WWF),” Raymond said.

The handover event held at the shopping mall’s ground floor at 3pm yesterday saw the smiling faces of children from the home who took their turns at the train ride.

Also in attendance were Sabah Tourism Board general manager, Suzaini Datuk Ghani, WWD Head of Conservation Sabah, Dr John Tay and President of the Sabah Cheshire Home, Datuk Rowland Chin.

Awarded the gold medal twice from the Malaysia Shopping Mall Association for Best Experimental Marketing category in 2017 and 2018, Imago strives to differ through attractive decorations and holding consistent events. – By Jonathan Nicholas
