KOTA KINABALU: After losing in the just concluded Hong Kong Open, men’s world number one shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei and China’s singles supremo Lin Dan will have the final chance this year to redeem lost pride in the last leg of the Yonex-Sunrise BWF Super Series Masters Finals 2008 to be held here from Dec 18 to 21.

Sabah Badminton Association President Senator Datuk Maijol Mahap said at a media conference here Monday, the top eight shuttlers who qualified to the finals of the Hong Kong Open, which concluded on Sunday, now have their eyes on the US$500,000 prize money on offer.

He said tickets to watch the tournament would go on sale Tuesday and can be bought by calling the Ticketpro Hotline at 012-8307193 and 03-78807999 or by logging onto its website www.ticketpro.com.my.

Tickets are priced from RM55-RM125. Season tickets are also available at RM1,500 each but are limited to 300 spectators only and includes dinner with the shuttlers.

He said some 3,000 badminton enthusiasts are expected to turn up to watch the tournament, which is being held for the first time in Sabah.
