Everyone must help in state’s devt programmes

KOTA KINABABLU: The implementation of development programs in the state can only be achieved with the combined effort of everyone, said Tanjung Batu State Assemblywoman Datuk Hamisa Samat.

The responsibility lies not only with the government but with the cooperation of community leaders, private sectors and non-government associations (NGO) as well as the community, said Hamisa.

Hamisa said the BN government is also concerned about developing the state for the people, especially in eradicating poverty in rural areas.

“The BN government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Sabah’s leadership under Datuk Seri Musa Aman has proven their commitment towards developing Sabah,” Hamisa said during the Program Mesra Rakyat at Merotai on Monday.

Community leaders also played a role in making government’s policies known to the people, such as projects that have been implemented and future development plans.

“People need to know about the government’s policies and what has been done to develop our state,” she said.
