“I am grateful to be appointed as chairman ESSZONE and vow to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to me for the sake of peace and wellbeing of Sabahans,” he told reporters when met at the Libaran dry run simulation at the Sri Libaran multi-purpose hall near here yesterday.

“I am confident that Sabah will be safe and secure with the implementation of ESSZONE… I am grateful and thankful to the Prime Minister for having placed trust placed in me,” he said.
Earlier, while speaking at the programme, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Barisan Nasional (BN) will win in the 13th General Election (GE).
He said cooperation among the three important wings of UMNO comprising the Youth, Wanita and Puteri will help further strengthen BN.
Musa was pleased with the progress of the dry run and said the Youth, Wanita and Puteri movements clearly showed they were able to perform.
“The dry run helps to identify any weaknesses in the party to be rectified immediately. The important thing is nobody remains complacent but is ready to face the election,” said Musa who is also the Sungai Sibuga Assemblyman and Libaran Umno chief.
He also believed the three state seats in the parliamentary area of Libaran will remain with the BN based on the people’s increasing support.
