LAHAD DATU: A total of 420 participants of the Borneo Samudera PPRT Bagahak Farm Scheme listed in e-Kasih for Lahad Datu and Tungku district have received a dividend of RM2,221.56 per person totaling RM933,035.25.
The presentation of the dividend to the recipients was carried out by the Assistant Minister to Chief Minister, Datu Nasrun Datu Mansur, who is also ADUN for Lahad Datu, at Dewan Tun Mustapha, last Tuesday.
The Silam Umno division chief, in his opening address, stressed that no government in the world was as good and comparable to the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN), which has navigated the administration of Malaysia with excellence and looked after the welfare of the people concerned.
“The BN government is a ‘People’s Government’ that is always sensitive to the needs of the people while at the same time pursuing excellence and progress in all aspects without ever alienating the less fortunate,” he said.
According to Nasrun, who is also Chairman of the Silam BN Parliament Coordination unit, the people should not be fooled by the ploys of the opposition as they are only trying to disunite the country.
He said the opposition can only make empty promises, but still fail in some areas of governance of states under their administration.
Meanwhile, Lahad Datu District Officer, Zulkifli Nasir, disclosed that the dividend this time is the full payment due to the recipients.
“We hope that the recipients will put the money received to good use especially during the coming festive celebration, my colleagues and I would also like to thank the Honourable Datuk Nasrun for taking time to present the dividends to the recipients even though he has a busy schedule to meet people from all over Silam.”
Also present at the ceremony were the Assistant District Development Officer, Peter Beaty, Assistant District Officer of Tungku Sub-District, Ibrahim Hakim and representatives from Borneo Samudera.
