KUALA LUMPUR: The National Farmers Organisation (NAFAS) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bank Rakyat to facilitate the operation of the National Farmers Fund.
The Farmers Organisation Authority in a statement said under the MoU, Bank Rakyat would also provide consultancy and advisory services to NAFAS members.
“The farmers will also be exposed to the workings of various financial instruments, investments and syariah-based banking principles applied by Bank Rakyat.
“The bank will also share its expertise in managing members’ fund and this can be emulated by NAFAS,” the farmers’ organisation said.
