Gov’t policies must be disseminated accurately, clearly

2nd August, 2012

KOTA KINABALU: The government policies must be disseminated accurately and clearly, said State Federal secretary Dato’ Abu Bakar Hassan.

Thus, the information officers must always make sure that the government policies are not twisted and manipulated by the irresponsible quarters, merely to confuse the people.

Hence, the information staff served as a bridge between the authority and the people, and they must act aggressively to deliver the information correctly so that the people understand the government agendas, he said.

Abu Bakar said this during a meeting session between the staff of the State Information Department and the State Federal secretary at the department’s office yesterday.

In order to foster a good working relationship, he urged the State and Federal departments and agencies in Sabah to work as a team so that the tasks at hand could be carried out easily and effectively.

“So when we combine our strength together, surely we could overcome the weaknesses and the problems collectively,” stated Abu Bakar.

Also present was State Information Department director Almain Ajirul.
