Dulux brings creative home décor ideas to consumers at iDEA 2012

16th July, 2012

In a move to interact with consumers in person and to impart expertise on stylish, contemporary home decor, AkzoNobel, the parent company of the Dulux brand, co sponsored the recently concluded iDEA Interior Design Home fair 2012 at 1 Utama.

iDEA Interior Design Home Fair 2012 – Malaysia’s first home fair in collaboration with fashion designers – saw manufacturers and home solution companies exhibiting and engaging with consumers to advise them on the latest trends in home transformation. What differentiated this home décor event is that it saw Malaysia’s very own fashion designers Key Ng, Carven Ong, and Alvin Tay, making the event a step towards contemporary, fashionable homes.

Speaking on the support extended to iDEA, Mr C.W. Goh, Managing Director of ICI Paints (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. said, “Colour has always been in the company’s culture along with its mission of ‘Adding Colour to People’s Lives’. By supporting iDEA, we hope to share our knowledge in colours and decorative inspirations which have always been our global strength, but more importantly, we want to provide inspirations and ignite new creativity in the local creative industry.

Malaysians are a fashion conscious group of people. It shows in the way they dress and live. A recent global observation, as seen in Harper’s Bazaar’s Spring 2012 Accessories Report, is that trends found in both home décor and home design are inspired by trends in fashion and vice versa.
