Sabah Selection-Queens Park Rangers tickets on sale

13th July, 2012

KOTA KINABALU: Tickets for the Sabah Selection-Queens Park Rangers friendly tie will be up for grabs at the Likas Stadium starting from tomorrow (Saturday) until match day on July 17.

Sabah FA Deputy President Datuk Lawrence Gimbang said they will set up booths for the purpose.

“It will be available from noon time on Saturday,” he said, at a press conference yesterday.

On complaints from the public in relation to the price of the ticket, which has slightly increased, Gimbang explained that it is beyond their jurisdiction.

Initially, the FA had announced three ticket prices – RM30 for open terrace, RM50 for uncovered grandstand and RM100 for covered grandstand.

However, it has been increased by RM3 by AirAsia, who is handling the matter, through their agent – Bumi Bola.

“Apparently, the ticket price has increased, and we were only aware of it after receiving complaints from the public. Unfortunately, it is beyond our control because they are the ones who are handling this,” said Gimbang, before explaining that it was done to cover the printing cost.

Besides at the Likas Stadium, the public can also purchase the tickets online via AirAsia website.
