Q: I met this 25-year-old guy about two months ago. I was interested in him and vice versa.
But he told me he is married. He claimed he got married nine months ago.
I did not believe him until he showed me his wedding photos.
He asked me recently what I think of him.
He told me he is in love with a 16-year-old teenager. He asked whether he should express his feelings to the girl.
I know he is referring to me. What should I do?
Tina
A: My God, run as far away and as fast as you can from this guy.
Of course, it’s because you enjoy the attention he shows you which can be flattering. But it would be foolish to be taken in by a guy who disregards his marriage vows within nine months.
At age 16 you need to guard what can be a lovely, carefree time of your life. Just be very careful with men like that. It’s important you talk to your mother or other trusted elders about this sort of things.
Adult responsibilities are something you can look forward to, in the future. Concentrate on the more important things at hand, one such as your studies.
