TGV Cinemas turns 17 in style

12th June, 2012

TGV Cinemas, Malaysia’s top exhibitor and multiplex cinema chain operator celebrated its 17th year of establishment at The Pool with exclusive business partners, members of the media and friends of the brand.

Joining the celebration were TGV Cinemas’ prominent business partners like Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Releasing, United International Pictures (UIP) and 20th Century Fox Film, just to name a few. Apart from that, TGV Cinemas’ celebrity friends that include Jojo Struys, Namewee, Chelsia Ng, Fred Chong and Khairil Bahar were on-site.

With its ‘Funky Sweet 17’ theme, the evening’s entertainment began with an exhilarating show by the No Noise Percussion Unit and guests were also treated to a special synchronized swimming performance by the effervescent twin sisters, Jillian and Jacqueline Ng. Guests were further pepped up with attractive lucky draw prizes up for grabs including Samsung TV and Tabs, iPod shuffles and Nokia Lumia phones. It was a great night of fun with good company right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

TGV Cinemas is excited with its transformation exercise, adopting a fresh ‘look and feel’ in its cinema chain. This change includes new concepts and advances in cinema technology such as digital IMAX, the Beanieplex beanbag hall, TGV Club premier halls, tiered seating options, and the Cantina lifestyle café hangout as well as the new F&B concepts like Popcorn Royale, Smokin’ Hot Minis, imported Nachos and limited edition movie Tumbos that make for a vibrant concessions offering.

A leader in cinematic technological advances, TGV Cinemas is the first and only exhibitor to offer the IMAX® Digital Theatre System in Malaysia. This unparalleled theatre system provides cinema goers the world’s most immersive movie experience with a combination of crystal-clear images, powerful digital sound and customized theatre geometry.

This year also marks another significant milestone with the upcoming reopening of the flagship TGV One Utama. TGV One Utama will be home to all concepts that TGV offers (Tiered Seating, the Beanieplex, and TGV Club) including the inaugural introduction of the SUITE. The SUITE is a top-of-the-line concept hall that enables discerning customers to enjoy super premium reclining seats, a very exclusive lounge with a delectable F&B menu and personalized service. The SUITE promises a first class experience and Malaysians can expect nothing less than ultimate comfort and luxury.
