TAWAU: Six persons were each compounded RM1,000 by the Tawau Area Health Office for flouting COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while four premises were served notice to appear in Court.
Tawau Area Health Officer Dr. G Navindran said a team of Health personnel inspected 11 premises during the operation conducted on Monday.
The six individuals were found to have failed to maintain social distancing while dining in a restaurant while the notice to appear in Court was for offences under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009, he added.
