Bodybuilding and physique coaching course on Aug 21

12th August, 2020

By FRANCIS XAVIER

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Bodybuilding Association (SBBA) will be organising a bodybuilding and physique coaching course on August 21.

The one-day event, which is supported by the Sabah Sports Council (SSC) will be held at the Gen Y Centre on the third floor of the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Sabah building.

SBBA President, Joannes Staneslous said the course is open to all.

However, he added due to the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), they are limiting the number of participants to 30 only.

“This course is suitable for coaches, personal trainers, athletes or persons who have been trying to lose weight but failed.”

“Since it is limited to 30 participants only, we will be taking entries based on a first-come, first-served basis,” said Joannes when contacted yesterday.

Joannes said former national bodybuilder, Liaw Teck Leong will be one of the speakers of the course.

“He is a former Mr Asia and an experienced man in the sport. He also has the experience of undergoing bodybuilding professional training in the United States while donning national colours,” said Joannes.

He said the second speaker for the course is the SSC state bodybuilding coach, Joseph Sylvester.

Joannes said Joseph will talk on the role (coach), training technique and the preparation of the training programme in the morning session (9am to 12 noon), while in the afternoon session (1pm to 4pm), Liaw will speak on science and the right supplements for bodybuilding and physique sports as well as the science of human ageing, obesity and solution.

Interested parties may contact Joannes at 013-8517730.
