Support Kecik, the dynamic duo of Raja Lawak

7th March, 2010

KOTA KINABALU: Sabahans are urged to come out in full force to support the local stand up comedians, who have also made in to the final rounds of the Astro Raja Lawak, which will be aired live tonight.

19-year-old Acho from Kampung Sawah, Tuaran with his famous quote ‘Asal Dari Kampung’ is pairing up with Iwan from Beaufort in the group category to complete against another single stand up comedian, Alex Ahat from Papar and West Malaysian comedian Idhan.

This dynamic duo, popularly known as the group ‘Kecik’, has so far shown excellent performances throughout the competition and has won praises from the judges.

Excited over his nephew being picked out to enter the final stage of the show, Acho’s uncle Awang Ghani Abdullah, who has come all the way from Tuaran to the New Sabah Times office, implores fellow Sabahans to support the duo.

“Wherever you maybe, we hope you would come out in full force to support them during the final round,” he said.

Meanwhile, Awang expressed his gratitude to Datuk Jahid Jahim and Datuk Hajiji Noor for their generous contributions.

“I would also like to thank another proprietor from Tuaran known as Uncle who had also come out in support for Acho by sponsoring posters and banners.

The show, which had entered its fourth season, is aired on the Astro prima channel every Sunday at 9pm.
