Possible pipe leak causing road to always be wet

0902-p12a
The road surface that needs to be repaired

9th February, 2010
  • For the past one month, the part of the road where Jalan Pusat Pembangunan Masyarakat meets with Lorong Selunsung D has always been wet, noted a motorist.

At first he thought that the water was from the rain but after a while he suspected that there must be a pipe leak.

The complainant said, “The road has never been dry since the past month and I suspect that there must be a leak somewhere near the spot. Other sections of the road would only be wet after it rains.”

He hoped that the matter would be looked into as soon as possible by the relevant authority because there’s a gaping hole now on the road and it is constantly filled with water.

“The road condition can only get worse. So, I hope that the authority would take action immediately and fix whatever is broken,” the complainant said.

  • A spokesperson from the Water Department when contacted by Actionline said that the office has looked into the problem and would be taking appropriate action soon.
