Agrobank booth is focus of HPPNK 2019 celebration

3rd December, 2019

KUALA LUMPUR: The Agrobank booth was the focus of agropreneurs at the four-day National Farmers, Livestock Breeders and Fishermen Day (HPPNK) 2019 which ended Sunday.

Agrobank acting president / chief executive officer, Khadijah Iskandar said based on the “mini bank” concept, the booth provided all banking services, including the opening of new accounts, payment of bills and other services, while providing information sessions, counselling and job opportunities with the bank.

At the same time, Agrobank also offered its financing products such as AgroBakti for the disabled, mechanisation for agriculture such as MAEF-i, Oil Palm smallholders Agriculture Input and Replanting for Palm Oil Smallholders, alongside promoting the savings campaign, Kita-kita Aje 2 and the sale of takaful protection products.

“As a bank that gives attention to agriculture, Agrobank offers various forms of financing that is compatible to micro entrepreneurs, small medium enterprises and also corporate entities such as manufacturers and also for the purpose of exports.

“Agrobank’s financing profit rate offered is also attractive. For example, the Fund for Food (3F) which caters specifically to enhancing domestic food production and reducing food imports, while offering financing for projects in the food sector, only imposes a financing profit rate of 3.75 per cent,” Khadijah said in a statement here Monday.

She added that after 50 years in the agricultural sector, Agrobank had always strived to offer suitable solutions and relevance for Agropreneurs.

“Agrobank also supports the efforts of entrepreneurs using technology to enhance productivity and operational efficiency, while financing automation equipment such as drones, machines and such.

“We had a booth specifically for the Mechanisation Segment at HPPNK for those seeking financing opportunities in this area,” Khadijah said.

HPPNK 2019, was held at the Angsana Johor Bahru Mall, to recognise the contribution of farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen, who are the key contributors to the country’s food supply.

It was launched by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail. –Bernama
