George Hamilton to take part in British reality show

15th November, 2009

Permatanned Hollywood actor George Hamilton will be joining ten other famous faces for a stint in the jungle as British broadcaster ITV kicks off the new series of “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”.

The contestants in the reality show will spend three weeks in the Australian jungle, away from all luxuries, taking part in challenges such as insect eating while trying to win the public’s affection and avoid being voted off the show.

Ex-Dynasty actor Hamilton, 70, said he was “thinking of sneaking a silk robe in and a martini.”

Former contestant Katie Price, aka glamour model Jordan, is rumoured to be making a return to the show where she famously met and fell in love with her now ex-husband Peter Andre.

ITV has refused to confirm Price’s return, but according to the tabloids the mother-of-three will be flying out to Australia next week.

The official line-up for this year’s series includes eighties glamour model Sam Fox, snooker ace Jimmy White, British actress Lucy Benjamin, Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup and interior designers and TV duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan.

British actor Stuart Manning, Mis-Teeq singer Sabrina Washington, TV chef Gino D?Acampo, and “How Clean Is Your Home” presenter Kim Woodburn will also be taking part.

Commenting on her upcoming jungle exploits, 43-year-old Fox said: “I?ve always seen myself as a bit of a female Rambo.

“I’ll jump out of a plane, no problem. What I am scared of is creepy, crawly, wriggly, horrible things…”

ITV said the challenges in the ninth series, which starts on November 15, would be “the most terrifying yet.”
