Sipitang Open Strongestman Challenge from Aug 30-31

KOTA KINABALU: The Sipitang Open Strongestman Challenge 2019 will be held at the Sipitang District Council field (top-ten) on August 30 and 31.

The two-day event is opened to all Malaysian as well as foreign participants who are aged 18 years old and above and with good health.

It will feature eight routines namely Tyre Flip (450kg), Farmers Walk (120kg), Atlas Stone, Truck Pull (10 ton Lorry), Log Press (110kg), Deadlift for Reps (200kg), Kembayau To Shoulder (100kg) and Durian Sipitang Front Hold (30kg).

The top ten winners will be rewarded with prize money with the champion taking home RM2,500, RM1,500 for the runner-up while third, fourth, fifth and sixth-placed athletes will receive RM1,000, RM700, RM500 and RM300 respectively.

The seventh to 10 placed athletes will pocket RM100 each.

The event organised by the soon-to-be-registered Association of Sabah’s Strongestman Athletes in collaboration with Yudas Gym Fitness Centre, Seng Kee Fitness and Sabah Indoor Climbing Centre is held in conjunction with the Sipitang Fruits Festival 2019.

Registration fee is RM150 for Malaysians and RM200 for non-Malaysians.

Any athletes that register will receive a T-shirt and certificate.
