Michelin welcomes first flagship store for premium performance-oriented tyres

18th April, 2019

PETALING JAYA: Michelin, the world’s leading tyre manufacturer, officially launched its first flagship store for premium performance-oriented tyres at SpeedLine Kota Damansara.

The store is the first of its kind in Malaysia and will carry the complete range of Michelin tyres, including ultra-high performance (UHP) as well as racing tyres. In addition, SpeedLine will also feature motorsports merchandises.

Managing Director of Michelin Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei, Pascal Nouvellon pointed out that over the years, the trend for super sports cars and ultra-high-performance tuning in Malaysia has continued to rise and demand for high performance tyres amongst consumers is increasing.

“The partnership with SpeedLine will allow us to provide our UHP products to this specific group of car enthusiasts who require tyres made for sport performance,” he said.

The collaboration with SpeedLine further solidifies Michelin’s commitment to deliver uncompromising quality of service and products to its customers – particularly its exclusive Pilot Sport Series and racing tyres.

“SpeedLine is a reputable expert in tyre-fitting and repair services dedicated to sports car owners who prioritize road safety and performance,” he added.

Pascal also said that the partnership is in line with Michelin’s plan to improve product availability in the Malaysian market.

“As we’ve done over the years, we will continue to look at opportunities to grow with the country through various channels including increasing our already extensive dealership network and raise the profile of the car servicing industry to adhere to international standards,” Pascal concluded.

As of March 2019, Michelin has a nationwide network of 124 Michelin-branded stores, 54 TyrePlus outlets and over 350 Michelin-authorised independent dealers.

Joining Michelin’s extensive network, SpeedLine Kota Damansara measures at 2,221 sq ft and consumers will not only have access to Michelin tyres, but also professional technicians and sales advisors that are ready to help upon arrival.

Located at 31, Jalan PJU 5/18, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor and operating from 9:00am to 7:00pm, SpeedLine Kota Damansara will be offering exclusive Michelin motorsports merchandises with the purchase of Michelin tyres.
