KOTA KINABALU: A 21-year-old Filipino who admitted to having sex with his underage girlfriend was jailed 18 months by the Sessions Court yesterday.
Judge Supang Lian also ordered paperless Mohd Firdaus Abdullah to be deported after serving his sentence.
Mohd was charged under Section 375 (g) of the Penal code and Section 376 (1) of the same act that carries a 20-year imprisonment and caning.
He confessed to having intercourse with the girl who was under 16 in room no 207 of Hotel Inanam on Dec 8 last year.
“I did not force her. I like her, I don’t want to be whipped, just give me a longer custodial sentence,” he pleaded. He said that he wanted to marry the girl after his incarceration.
Earlier, the court heard that the victim’s father had lodged a police report on Dec 8 after finding out that his daughter had sex with the accused in a hotel.
The victim was referred to the Likas Hospital on the same day at 10.55pm and a medical report confirmed a torn hymen.
The girl had been acquainted with the accused since 2007. On Dec 8 last year, she left the house to be with her friend and four other men including the accused.
The victim and the accused had sex for the third time before they were apprehended by the victim’s father.
