LG takes home entertainment to a new level

8th June, 2009

KOTA KINABALU: LG Electronics strives to create synergy between all its products that will redefine cinematic experience in the comfort of the home, said T Y Ko, the Managing Director and CEO of the company, at the launch of its new range of technologically advanced home entertainment LCD and Plasma televisions and home theatre systems here Friday.

In conjunction with the occasion, LG is the official global sponsor of the much anticipated blockbuster Transformers sequel, ‘Revenge of the Fallen’. Its loyal consumers would be entitled to free tickets to watch the movie as well as the Transformers’ merchandise.

The LG home entertainment range which includes the LH50, LH70 and LH35 promises to relive the cinematic experience with awesome sound and picture quality in the comfort of the home.

The LH50 features full HD 1080p with TruMotion 200Hz which eliminates motion blur in fast moving pictures. Combined with Blu-Ray home theatre technology and full high definition clarity, watching movies in the house will never be the same again.

“We understand that for the home to be the nucleus of our lives – be it for entertainment, socializing or merely for relaxation – it has to be an environment that is clean and healthy,” Ko said.

With this in mind, LG promoted its Health+ campaign with its full range of home appliances to create a healthier home environment.

LG focuses its expertise towards designing and incorporating health-orientated technology into its new line of air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and other domestic devices, he added.

“The new LG Health+ Collection is designed to reduce allergens, include washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, cooking appliances and dish washers.

“The LG Health+ campaign with the slogan, ‘Caring for your Health in Every Way’ was launched in countries across Asia in April this year,” Ko said.

“As today’s consumers are more health conscious than ever, LG strives to make its household appliances that can enhance their well-being.

LG’s Health+ refrigerator has innovative features that help to preserve food in the most nutritious and wholesome state for much longer,” he said.

LG claimed that its Health+ air conditioner with Ionizer and Allergy Care Filtration System purify air, kill bacteria and remove odour to let only fresh and clean air circulate in the room.

Its washing machines employ Steam technology to remove allergen and kill germs while its Smart Detergent Residue Sensor removes any traces of detergent in the laundry.

With much improved dust compression technology, LG’s vacuum cleaner reduces flying dust and allergen that often occur when emptying the dust bin, for effortless and complete cleaning, from vacuuming to disposal.
