KOTA KINABALU: Feast is a must during Chinese New Year celebration where various dishes served abundantly and each dish has their own symbolic meaning.

For this coming Chinese New Year celebration, E west Restaurant Head Chief Chinese Kitchen, Chef Joseph Chang, will prepare an 8-course set menu that include most of the auspicious dishes.

The course includes four hot and cold combination platters, dried scallop fish maw soup, steamed corn-fed chicken with roasted duck, Hong Kong style steamed dragon grouper, salted egg fried prawn, braised sea cucumber, dried oyster and fatt choi with broccoli, anchovy fried rice and Chinese sticky rice cake.

The price is RM888++ per table for JD card members and RM988++ per table for non-members, with complimentary of a bottle of wine (one-day booking applicable).

Also available is the a la carte order for Yu Sang at RM68++ per serving for three to four pax, and RM108++ per serving for six to eight pax.

For diners who wish to book for a private room, the 5th Avenue Bistro and Café (non-halal outlet) offers a premium 9-course set menu which includes five hot and cold combination; double boiled matsutake mushroom stewed conch with chicken soup; steamed corn-fed chicken with roasted duck; Yuan Yang cod fish; Hakka yam pork; golden silk prawn; braised sliced abalone; sea cucumber; dried oyster; fatt choi with broccoli; baked rice with preserved duck leg; Chinese sausage; and Chinese sticky rice cake.

This premium menu is priced at RM,688++ per table for JD and members, and RM,788++ per table for non-members with a complimentary of a bottle of wine.

E West banquet hall can carter almost all types of functions either corporate meetings or events, engagements, weddings, full moon parties, birthdays or any social events. The hall can accommodate up to 200 seats for dinner function or 320 seats – combine with the restaurant space.
