KOTA KINABALU: The Tabs Safa Bandaraya has planned various programmes ahead for the year with the aim on improving the quality of its increasing number of trainees (players).

Its Chairman, Sulaiman Mohd Noor said that the management emphasised this to its coaches to give their full commitment in order to achieve the organisation’s aim.

“The head coach must ensure that all concerned coaches are committed in performing their respective duties diligently according to the task provided.

“The increasing number of trainees will certainly be challenging for the coaches but we believe they can get the job done,” he said when chairing Tabs first meeting of the year held at Likas Stadium meeting room, here on Sunday.

Sulaiman expressed his gratitude to the Tabs management and coaches on the achievements in a number of competitions last year including Borneo Cup, CIMB Championship in Melaka and a series of friendly matches.

According to him, Tabs aims for continuous achievements such as those mentioned, enabling the quality of the current trainees to be maintained for the years to come.

Also present at the meeting was Asneh Mohd Noor, Sabah Sports Council Director who is also Tabs Vice Chairman. Meanwhile in related news, Tabs Deputy Chairman Lokman Sunggim said the organisation will host several tournaments this year after the proposal was given the green light during the meeting.

“The tournaments will involve the below 12, 14 and 16 years categories which has been our initial plan for the year, therefore we hope it will progress smoothly,” he said.
