Boy bitten by crocodile in Sungai Seguntor

12th September, 2018

By JAMES LEONG

SANDAKAN: A 13-year- old boy was bitten on the right hand and thigh by a crocodile in Sungai Seguntor near his house at Jalan Fordeco, Kampung Melayu off Mile 8 Jalan Labuk yesterday.

The boy was with another friend taking a dip in the river when the crocodile attacked him around noon. His friend managed to pull him out from the water and family members rushed to help him when they heard him calling out in pain.

He was sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital for treatment and received stitches to the bite wounds to his hand and thigh. Policemen were at the scene following a report lodged by the boy’s parents.
