Elite Tabasan Run around Penampang on Oct 28

KOTA KINABALU: The organisers of the Elite Tabasan Run are calling on running enthusiasts around the State to take part in the event scheduled on October 28 around the Penampang district.

The event is organised by SPED KK Cycling Club where its president, Ir Edward Lingkapo announced that Casero Events was named as the event coordinator.

“We are glad to have Casero Events which is led by its managing director, Steve Johnny Mositun, on board and assisting us with the event’s management in our first ever running event.

“The run’s exact location will be announced on a later date where participants will run a total distance of 10 kilometres across Penampang’s paddy fields,” he said in a statement, yesterday.

Edward continued that the aim of the event is to promote a healthier lifestyle through running while at the same time entrance fees generated will be donated to charity.

There are four categories opened for enthusiasts to join namely Men’s Open (18-44 years), Women’s Open (18-44 years), Men’s Veteran (above 45 years) and Women’s Veteran (above 45 years).

The registration fee for each category is RM80 per person, entitling them to a free event T-shirt, E-certificate and finishers’ medal while the closing date is set on September 30.
