UMS Career Centre holds benchmark visit

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Career Centre has recently held a three-day benchmark visit to several universities and government agencies in Kuala Lumpur.

The group, which was led by Director Associate Professor Dr. Lai Yew Meng has visited Career and Counseling Centre in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam, Career Services Centre in Taylor’s University, Kuala Lumpur, as well as Data Management Unit in the Malaysian Education Ministry and Career Development Centre in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi.

“This visit is a fundamental knowledge disclosure that is to be applied in making the centre’s administration more systematic, efficient and of quality.

“Besides that, UMS Career Centre was also given the chance to build networks, exchange expertise knowledge,” said Dr. Lai.

Meanwhile, UMS Psychology Officer, Nurul Fatiha Firdaus stated that the benchmark visit played a crucial role in channeling various useful information relating to career opportunities and development, especially towards UMS graduates.

She also advised the people of UMS especially the students and alumni to visit UMS Career Centre’s official Facebook page to obtain updated information on job opportunities.
