Borneo Event Production is organising one of the year’s biggest and glamourous competition – The Sabah Supermodel Award and Sabah Manhunk at the newly opened Ballroom of 1Borneo on December 20, 2008.

The 2 in 1 Gala Dinner and Charity Show will be attended by major players of the fashion industry, music, films, sports, business as well as politicians.

International supermodel Miss Amber Chia has confirmed her attendance as the Chief Judge, said Minah Hong, the organising chairperson in a statement.

“There will be 15 female and 15 male finalists during the final all vying for the coveted title and 7 other subsidiary titles e.g. Miss Photogenic, Best Talent, Most Beautiful Body, Best Catwalk, Most Popular, Sexiest Smile and Miss/Mr. Congeniality” Minah added.

Sabah singing icon and managing director of Borneo Event Productions, Peter Dicky Lee said that 50% of the ticket sales will go towards the SM St. John’s Tuaran School Building Fund and the rest to other charity bodies like Sabah Government Pensioners Association (PPKS).

“We have helped raised funds and donated to several causes through our beauty pageant especially fromour recent Miss Sabah/Malaysia/Universe where one school in Tawau namely Institute of Science and Management and 5 other charity homes throughout Sabah were the beneficiaries of our charity efforts,” he said

Peter, a former student of SM St. Johns’s Tuaran, also added “Being an ex-student of St. John’s school myself, I am proud and privileged to have this opportunity to do something to the school.”

The patron of this event is Datuk Hajiji Noor, Minister of Local Government and Housing, also an ex-student of St. John’s Tuaran.
