Musa-BN hard to beat with strong cooperation

16th April, 2018

By ROZZALIN HASHIM

SANDAKAN: It is vital for all parties (in BN) to be loyal and sincere as it will make them hard to beat when they all work together, said Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Haji Aman at the launching of the Batu Sapi election machinery on Sunday.

Musa, who is also State BN Chairman, expressed his optimism that Barisan Nasional will retain the Batu Sapi parliamentary seat in the up-coming general elections next month.

“I believe that the strength of BN in Batu Sapi will ensure us the victory,” he said. The seat is held by Datuk Linda Tsen.

More than 3,000 supporters attended the event that was interspersed with chorus of ‘Tetap BN’ shouts from supporters.

Musa dismissed the opposition as a rag-tag group of disgruntled politicians who are not steadfast in their political beliefs.

“By contrast, what we have in BN are people who have been dedicated to serving the people. Batu Sapi is known as a BN stronghold, and it is up to us to ensure that we win again.”

Musa, who is also the UMNO Sabah liaison chairman, said he was disappointed with some opposition Sabah leaders who, by their criticism of the state, has brought shame to their own state.

Also present at the event included UMNO Batu Sapi chairman Datuk Samsudin Yahya, MCA Batu Sapi chairman Dato Chew Kok Who, LCP Karamunting division chairman Lim Kai Min, PBS Sekong chief Bonie Yusoh and Datuk Linda, who is also PBS treasurer general.
