Car rams into shop, driver escapes unhurt

24th January, 2018

KOTA KINABALU: A businesswoman escaped unscathed after accidentally accelerating her car into a shop here at Jalan Pantai yesterday.

No casualties were reported in the 6.30am incident other than the destruction of the shutters belonging to the store that sells local products and exterior damages to the 45-year-old’s vehicle.

It is understood that the woman had just started her car and was about to leave when she lost control of the vehicle. The shop had not started operating at the time.

According to a police spokesperson, the case is currently being investigated under Rule 10 of LN166/59 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959. – By Jonathan Nicholas
