The food and beverages team under the guidance of Assistant Venue Manager, Abdul Hamid got the festive mood swinging with a total of 26 participants from various departments showing off their innovation, creativity and hidden talents to concoct cocktails and mocktails.

The two-day event was judged live for the alcoholic category while the mocktails were ‘blind tasted’.

The judges who were visiting Sandakan from Kuala Lumpur, Chennai (India) and Amsterdam (Holland) were more than happy to be part of the fun – as Ron Thakoer of Holland said, “It’s great and explosive fun when the hotel is giving you 14 complimentary cocktails to taste for free, so why not?!”

The winners for the Alcoholic Cocktails were: 1. Ersan Bin Saiddulanam (Food & Beverages Service) 2. Abdul Nasir (Food & Beverages Service) 3. Alan Chang (Purchasing Assistant) 4. Mohamad Farid Fahmi (Food & Beverages Service)
