Blunt, Bublé breakup

Those Devil Wear Prada girls are ready to work the single scene. Just weeks after Anne Hathaway split from her longtime beau, Emily Blunt is also solo.

The Golden Globe-winning actress has ended her three-year relationship with Canadian crooner Michael Bublé, his rep confirmed today. “Michael and Emily are no longer together as a couple, but they remain friends,” Bublé publicist Liz Rosenberg told E! News.

The 25-year-old Blunt met Bublé, 32, backstage after one of his concerts in 2005. The popster became so smitten that he penned the song “Everything” for her. The pair purchased a $2.2 million home in Vancouver.

“It was kind of love at first sight, but for a long time I thought it was infatuation,” he told Australia’s Sunday Mail in May. “But it wasn’t. It was love.” Love apparently wasn’t enough to keep them together. Bublé has often noted in press interviews how difficult it was for the couple to carve out time when the British-born actress was busy working on movies and he was constantly on the road performing.

Blunt has two films on tap for next. First up, she’s headlining the period drama Young Victoria, playing the titular queen in the early years of her rule. In the second, she costars with Benicio Del Toro in Universal’s remake of The Wolf Man.

The Grammy-winning big-band-fronting Bublé has seen all three of his studio albums sell more than 1 million copies in the States, with 2007’s Call Me Irresponsible topping the Billboard 200. The Sinatra-styled singer is currently on tour in England and Ireland.
