Faizal wins Mr Labuan

LABUAN: Faizal Garukan flexed his muscles to the champion of the champions title at the Mr Labuan 2008 Bodybuilding Championship held here on Sunday.

Earlier on, he won the 75kg crown en route to the champion of the champions final.

The feat saw him walk home with prize money, a trophy and a challenge trophy.

Francis Joseph also did pretty well at the championship by winning the 70kg title as well as being named as the Best Poser. He also took home prize money and a trophy.

Jerome Gundalam finished as second best, while Sulaiman Tuah claimed the third spot.

Hajimin Wasli was the winner of the 70.1-75kg category, while Tawau’s Lee Chee Kiong finished second followed by Kuljavanie Justin in third.

In the 75kg and above category, Tawau’s Mohd Asyraf Akmal finished second to Faizal, while Awangku Sulaiman claimed the third spot.

The Labuan Sports Council Director Arman Haji Annuar Tan and the Labuan Amatuer Bodybuilding Association President Matiu Jungkim and the organiser’s advisor Jesse Tsen were there to present the prizes to the winners.

The tournament organised by the Labuan Amateur Bodybuilding Association and the Labuan Sports Council was held at the Popin Entertainment Centre.
