Hard Rock Café KK’s new limited-time menu

KOTA KINABALU: Inspired by fans, Hard Rock Café Kota Kinabalu will be joining other Hard Rock Café worldwide in offering its new 15 limited-time menu.

Fans of Hard Rock Café have their reason to celebrate as five popular items including Cauliflower Wings, Cauliflower Burger, Atomic Burger, Java Lava Burger and Tropical Burger, have earned a spot on Hard Rock’s core menu.

This popular menu items have moved from cult favorite to center stage as result of consumer demand during popular in-restaurant activation including the Vegetarian Menu, World Burger Tour and Burger and Beer Pairings. The worldwide brand also has made their latest menu by incorporating ideas and request from fans which integrate local and international flavor.

“Some of the menu which we created here is a result of fans requesting more of vegetarian menu and we would like to carter this market,” said Hard Rock Café’ Kota Kinabalu Sales and Marketing Manager, Jessica J. Chong.

For starters, as part of the five popular menus, The Cauliflower Wings, crispy Buffalo-style cauliflower “wing” served with blue cheese, celery and carrot sticks. Joining in the vegan menu, is Cauliflower Burger, a house-made patty of cauliflower, garlic, egg, goat cheese, oregano and breadcrumbs, topped with zucchini, squash, Monterey Jack cheese, arugula, tomato and garlic aioli served on a toasted brioche bun.

Next we have Atomic Burger topped with spicy fried onions, fried jalapenos, and Monterey Jack cheese with arugula, vine-ripened tomato and Atomic ketchup.

Awakened with espresso rub and house-made lava sauce, Java Lava Burger is topped with crunchy java onions, melted Cheddar cheese, smoked turkey bacon, crisp lettuce and vine-ripened tomatoes, garnished with a fried jalapeno.

Tropical Burger is a cheddar cheese burger in paradise made with grilled pineapple, jalapeno mango salsa, turkey bacon, and arugula complimented with seasoned fries.

The international brand also turned things up a notch by paying homage to local flavor by bringing Serunding Burger to the Hard Rock’s core menu, prep with local flavor and flair of the “Local Legendary”.

Moving along to more veggies menu where we find Southwest Spring Rolls, stuffed with spinach, black beans, corn, jalapenos and mixed cheese served with crispy shredded lettuce with a side of guacamole-chipotle ranch dressing topped with diced red pepper and green onions.

The Pasta Arrabiata is served with penne pasta and Hard Rock’s homemade Arrabiata sauce served with a mix of vegetables, grated parmesan cheese and a slice of garlic bread.

The café is also bringing Southern Salad to the menu, with fresh greens and kale tossed in a vinaigrette with vine-ripened tomatoes, turkey bacon, roasted corn, pecans, and hard-boiled egg topped with southern fried chicken and a tangy barbeque drizzle.

Joining in the Salad menu, Haystack Chicken Salad a Hard Rock special, combining fresh mixed greens, carrots, corn, diced tomatoes, Pico de Gallo, and shredded cheese topped with tupelo fried or grilled chicken breast tossed with ranch dressing and topped with spiced pecans and crisp tortilla straws.

The café will also introduce Curry Laksa, an all-time Malaysian favourite dish, made with spicy curry coconut gravy served with yellow noodles, prawns, chicken, fried bean curd puff, bean sprouts, long beans, eggplant and hard-boiled egg.

Hard Rock’s desserts, Fresh Apple Cobblers mixed with apple juice and the finest spices baked to a golden brown; served warm, with vanilla ice cream, topped with walnuts and caramel sauce.
