Food concessionaires invited to try new ala carte menu

SANDAKAN: Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan’s The Eatery introduced their new ala carte menu through food tasting with the local media.

Chef Charlister Siap who heads the kitchen team mentioned that it was his intention to introduce local flavours to the hotel increasing international clientele.

The five new items were: a) Nasi Kuning Ayam Ketuk, a local traditional favourite of yellow turmeric flavoured rice served with flattened fried chicken (RM28nett). b) Double Boiled Chicken Drumstick, a home-style method of braised herbal chicken served with fragrant steamed rice (RM28nett). c) Minced Chicken with Soft Bean Curd, a secret recipe of finely minced chicken and soft bean curd served with fragrant steamed rice (RM28nett). d) Braised New Zealand Lamb Shank, another secret recipe of Chef Charlister, with couscous or potato mash and grilled Mediterranean vegetables (RM48nett). e) Mushroom Risotto, Chef Charlister’s award winning specialty (RM38nett).

Other dishes available at The Eatery’s new menu from Aug 1 onwards feature local delights, western and oriental favourites, Hotel General Manager Peter Padman said.
