Lusiran Tansau Bah 6K Run on July 22

KOTA KINABALU: Active lifestyle enthusiasts around the state capital are called on by organisers to take part in the Lusiran Tansau Bah 6K Run to be held on July 22 at SMK Tansau in Penampang, near here.

According to organising chairperson, Connie Parantis, the six-kilometre run organised by SMK Tansau Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG), Penampang District Council and MS Sports & Event Management is the school’s biggest running event.

She hopes that the school’s students will participate in the event including the public as the run is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports to the participants.

Meanwhile, SMK Tansau principal, Hajah Siti Salmiah Samaie said the event is also to help raise fund for the school’s PIBG fund to help less fortunate students.

There are three categories opened for registration namely Student (boys and girls below 17 years), Open (men and women above 18 years) and Veteran (men and women above 40 years).

Each participant will receive an event T-shirt, finishers’ medal and certificate, while the top five finishers of each category stand the chance to win cash prizes, while a lucky draw will also be held.
